Question: Hi doctor,

I am having heavy dandruff and hair fall since 2-3 months. Almost lost 40% of hair from all sides.

I would recommend you to use a ketoconazole shampoo

Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
According to your complaints you seem to be having male pattern baldness along with dandruff.
I would recommend you to use a ketoconazole shampoo twice weekly and take capsule itraconazole 100 mg twice daily for 2 weeks.
Once dandruff gets controlled you can stop with the capsules and continue with ketoconazole shampoo.
For hair loss I would recommend you to to apply minoxidil 5 percent lotion on the front area and sides of the scalp.
The dose is 1 ml twice daily.
Along with I would ask you to to take hair supplements like tablet androanagen once daily .
This treatment needs to be continued for 4-5 months to see significant results and for atleast 1 year to get maximum benefits.
These are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
