Question : Hi,

i have a lot of dandruff in my hair. presently i use Himalaya Anti Dandruff shampoo but the effect is not there for long. What should i do for removal of dandruff and also prevent hair loss

Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have gone thoriugh your query and I have understood your concern.

Dandruff/ Seborrheic dermatitis can recur.
Rather than using a regular shampoo you need to use an antidandruff shampoo, at least twice or thrice in a week, to prevent a recurrence.

I suggest you to try Nizral 2% shampoo, every alternate days. It contains ketoconazole 2% in a lotion base and is an effective antidandruff preparation.
Lather it well onto wet scalp and allow it to act for 5-7 minutes before rinsing it off with water.

Dandruff is an common cause of increased hair shedding, therefore controlling dandruff effectively would decrease hair shedding as well.
