Question : I am having dandruff in my eye brows from last 1-2 yeas. But from past few months it started spreading and i am having dandruff like flakes on my face as well. Based on recommendation of a doctor, I used Scalpe lotion, it gives temporary relief but that does not make it go away compeletly. Its mostly on the upper face like near nose and mustache. But is spreading now and i am noticing it near ear and even small section near chin. I have to applying normal cold cream to moist the face but this is not helping either. It has become a major source of embarrassment now. Please help

Brief Answer:
Ketoconazole +salicylic acid shampoo, beclomethasone+clotrimazole lotion

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
I have gone through your complaints and understand your concern.
Dandruff is a chronic condition and it has to be kept under control.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to use ketoconazole and salicylic acid combination shampoo twice weekly and apply lotion containing combination of beclomethasone and clotrimazole on the affected areas of the face, scalp and ears twice daily for 2-3 weeks.
Once the dandruff reduces you can discontinue the lotion but shampoo has to be used regularly as otherwise their will be recurrence of dandruff.
