Question : I’ve been having diarrhea for two weeks now. My stomach growls quite a lot, and I have to run to the bathroom. The diarrhea gushes and or spews out (mostly water) with a lot of gas. I have some cramping, but not severe. What is causing this, and what must I do to stop it. Thank you XXXX

Brief Answer:
Can be bacterial infection, stool sample advisable

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

when someone with your symptoms comes to my office i usually order a stool sample for bacteria and draw blood to look for signs of inflammation. If bacterial infection persists as long as in your case, antibiotic therapy can be indicated.

This is the next steps i woud discuss with a local gp. Best regards
