Suggest Treatment For Severe Dizziness When Diagnosed With Low BP

I have a question about breathing actually.
Somehow the last week I have become very aware of my own breathing. It is like i breath shallow, you know? Like, I dont really breath looong and relaxed, I breath a little faster and smaller. Like I feel like I only use a little piece of my lungs. And its a changed pattern for me to breath like this.
Now its like in-out. in-out. in-out. While normally I breath like this: iiiinnnnn-ooooutt. iiiin-ooouuut. Any idea what this can be? I dont really notice it when I speak or am doing something, but when infornt of computer og lying in bed etc. My wife notice too.
I have low bloodpressure ( like 100-110 over 60 aprox) and am dizzy or lightheaded very much, and I do sometimes get very heavy breath, like out of breath and hard to breath if I am active etc. What can this be? I also sometimes get tingling/needløes and pins in both hands/arms
I would recommend as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Welcome back on HCM!
I understand your concern and would explain that respiration is modulated by physical activity or emotional stress, just like the heart rate.
Besides, there are a lot of other factors which can influence in the rhythm and depth of respiration:
- smoking
- lung disorders
- allergic reactions
- chronic anemia
- thyroid dysfunction
- constitution ( overweight persons breathe more frequently and superficially), etc..
Anyway, your symptoms do not seem to indicate any serious medical condition.
Low blood pressure can also be related to these troubles.
Anyway, if the problem persists, I would recommend performed some tests:
- a lung X ray study and respiratory function tests
- complete blood count for anemia
- thyroid hormone levels
- allergy tests.
Meanwhile, I would recommend taking plenty of fluids to stay well hydrated and improve your blood pressure values. Increasing salt intake would also help.
Hope you will find this answer helpful!
Feel free to ask me again whenever you need!
Kind regards,
Dr.Iliri
