Brief Answer:
I would explain as follows:
Detailed Answer:
Hello again!
Regarding your concern, I would explain that antibiotics are given only under medical prescriptions when there is evidence of a possible bacterial infection based on your clinical symptoms and test results.
That is why I would recommend consulting with your family physician for a physical exam and some tests:
- a chest X ray study
- complete blood count
- PCR, ESR for inflammation.
Your symptoms seem to be related to an upper airway respiratory infection and the most proper antibiotics in such case would be a beta lactam antibiotic (amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, cefotaxim, etc.) or a macrolide antibiotic (clarithromycine, azythromicine, etc.), based on your individual tolerance.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.
Hope to have been helpful!
