Suggest Treatment For Severe Ear Pressure While On Afrin Nasal Spray
Question: I am suffering from severe nasal and inner ear pressure and in the past have used Affrin; however I am concerned about it becoming addictive. Is there a recommended OTC nasal spray that I can use that will open my nasal passages, but does not have the addictive effect that Affrin warns about.

Affrin nasal spray contains Oxymetazoline.
You can use it continuously for maximum around ten days.If used more than around ten days,then it may cause rebound congestion in the nose.
For the complain of nasal and inner ear pressure,you may use
Steroid Nasal Spay like Fluticasone or Mometasone and
Saline Nasal Spray.
You can also use Oral Decongestant like Pseudoephedrine(if not suffering from Hypertension,Heart/kidney/liver disease,high pressure in eyes-Glaucoma) and
Mucolytic like Ambroxol.
Also do steam inhalation.Drink lots of warm fluids.Avoid cold food and dust.
