Suggest Treatment For Severe Fever Blisters, Sore Throat And Ear Pain

Question: Hello - I am a 50-yr old female with an auto-immune. I developed a very severe fever blister yesterday morning - which I feel is the reedit of too much sun this past Tuesday. (Really stupid on my fault, I know). The single large blister has spread all around and under my chin area, my throat is very sore, both ears ache (moderately), my teeth ache, and the glands just below my jaw bones are swollen and very sore to the touch. Plus I can't get rid of a raging headache. I've had fever blisters before but never this bad.

Thank you for any advice, and should I go to an Urgent Care? Respectfully submitted, XXXX

I am Dr.Barani and I am pleased to assist you.

Fever blisters are self limiting and will resolve on their own in a few days. There is no nee to worry.

For the pain, sore throat and other aches, you can take tylenol four times a day.

Please upload a picture of the blisters so that I can have a look at it to confirm that they are fever blisters only and nothing else. After seeing the picture I will let you know whether you should go to urgent care.
