1. sinusitis (post nasal drip can cause cough)

2. Acid reflux can cause cough.

3. lung related infections.


I suggest you to consult ENT surgeon and get detailed ENT examination, x-ray para nasal sinuses (sinusitis), blood tests ( infection or allergy). If necessary laryngoscopy procedure (acid reflux causes acid laryngitis).


In the mean time, continue steam inhalation, avoid consuming chilled products (curd/ice creams).
