Question : Hi, my name is XXXXXXX last evening I had severe gas cramps, I went to the toilet and started to sweat profusley, I passed some stool which took me awhile and felt the gas move like I had a little bit of diariah, I laid down again and heard some more gas move around and had to go back to the bathroom and this time there was red blood in the toilet. Went to sleep and this morning heard some more gas and the same thing. I had two teeth extracted the previous evening. Had taken 2 hydrocortadones in an 8 hour period which make me feel sick at my stomach so I stopped them and had taken 3 800mg ibuprophen in another 4 hour intervals, was able to eat with one side of my mouth. 63 year old, 236 lbs. take lasinopril for blood pressure. stomach is still rumbling some this morning.

I would not advise a 63 year old man with severe gas cramps and one episode of blood diarrhoea to stay at home without medical attention. I would rule out the worst possible that too after a tooth work. It may not be imminent in 90% of cases but the most remote possibilities are dangerous to cause a life.
