Brief Answer:
Management of hair fall

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
Thinning of hair and hair loss are due to multiple causes.
The common ones being hormonal disturbaces, thyroid disorders, anemia, fevers like typhoid and malaria, after delivery and chronic diseases including that of the scalp.
Since you earlier had PCOD it is also associated with hair loss.
I would recommend you to get your hormonal profile, TSH, serum ferritin and haemoglobin levels checked.
The hormones to be checked are serum FSH, LH, prolactin, free testosterone and serum insulin levels.
These are to be checked on the second or third day of menses in the morning.
Meanwhile If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply minoxidil 2 percent lotion on the affected areas of the scalp twice daily. The dose is 1 ml twice daily. Also take hair supplements like tablet keraglo XXXXXXX or tablet follihair once daily.
You need to continue these for atleast 4-5 months to notice significant response.
First there will be stoppage of hair fall followed by regrowth of hair.
I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.
Regards
Dr Asmeet
