Hair fall treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic
I have gone through your query.
Hair fall can be due to various causes:
Common causes like Telogen Effluvium, Seborrheic dermatitis, Androgenetic Alopecia make up the majority and usually are responsible for diffuse hair fall.
Certain other cause like Lupus, Alopecia, Lichen planus are causes of patchy hair loss.
-I would like to know whether you have dandruff Or seborrheic dermatitis?
-Is there a family history of baldness? Do you notice that they have become thinner from what they used to be?
-Do you notice that hair fall is more from top of the scalp? Is there a feeling that your anterior hair line has receded backwards thus exposing a broad forehead and has the hair reduced more from the angles Or have the angles become wider/broader?
-Can you upload a few photographs of the scalp so that I can judge the severity and pattern of hair loss from the scalp?
Regards

Androgenetic Alopecia
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thank you for excellent representative photographs.
In the photographs I can see that the hair fall is more from the front and top of the scalp, there is recession of anterior hair line thus exposing a broad forehead. These are all features of Androgenetic Alopecia.
Though family history is positive in most and but is not always present in all of first degree relatives (father, brother). Positive family history in grandparents, aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces or half-siblings is also significant.
Minoxidil and finasteride have US FDA approval for use in Androgenetic Alopecia.
While Minoxidil is a non-specific hair growth promoter, oral Finasteride is specific for androgenetic alopecia.
Finasteride inhibits the enzyme responsible for converting testosterone to Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in hair follicles. DHT is the main culprit in this type of hair loss.
Results are usually noticeable over a period of 6-8 months of regular minoxidil use and oral treatment
These are all prescription medications. I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region for the needful.
Regards
