My hair has become increasingly thin over the past 6 months (from very thick to now stringy and thinning). I noticed that the hair shaft/ bulb is also very shallow and almost non existent. Do you know what this could be caused by?

Hence i request you to have have complete thyroid profile-T3.T4,TSH.

Preliminary thyroid hormonal profile is warranted before other factors are considered.
Scalp injections of Minoxidil when taken under strict medical prescription will help to restore the hair thickness.

I am also experiencing insomnia and heard that this could be from hormone issues and possibly low progesterone or elevated testosterone. Is there testing for this?
