Question : I am 23 years old and I have been suffering from hair loss for 4 years. I haven't seen a doctor till now. Now I feel that I need medical attention for regrowth of hair.

Welcome to HCM. I have gone through the question and understand your concerns.

Please consult a dermatologist and get yourselves evaluated for hair loss. The usual tests they do are :

Thyroid function tests
Testosterone, DHEAS
Complete blood count
25 hydroxy vitamin D, B12
Serum iron, ferritin, TIBC

They will clinically evaluate you for any skin disease in scalp, dandruff, hair pluckability, hair density etc.

The treatment depends on the cause.
