Suggest Treatment For Severe Hair Loss
Question: Hi Doctor,
32 year female. I am facing severe hair loss. finding my hair everywhere in my house and office (looks like more than 1000 a day). gets worse during and after washing, then i loose in bunches.
Taking homeopathic and light treatment from Dr. Batra, XXXXXXX My ferritin level came as 38. after that as per doctor's suggestion i started taking iron supplement twice a day. Doing this since two months (i admit that i do forget sometimes). Still it is getting worse. Both my mom and dad have less hair. I am a vegetarian. Please help..

It seems that you are suffering from a condition called Diffuse Telogen Effluvium. It is characterised by hair loss from whole of the scalp. The moat common causes of hairfall are Hemoglobin deficiency, Low Serrun Ferritin levels, thyroid dysfunction, improper diet, stress, pregnancy and lactation in females. I would advise you to upload the reports of above mentioned investigations. In case of low ferritin levels, regular supplementation of iron is required till the levels are in normal range.
In case, the hair fall is in particular pattern like central parting , it is likely Female pattern alopecia. The treatment of Female pattern alopecia is topical Minoxidil lotion for continous many years. Kindly upload the images of scalp and reports of above mentioned investigations so that I can help you to my best.
