Question: Hi. I am a 36 yr old male. I have severe iching in thighs and on the testicle skin. Tried many OTC antifungal creams like Candid, Castor NF bur it didnt help. As time progressedit resulted into more and more itching and soreness of skin. Finally i applied Sapat Lotion, it burnt a lot, but itching is well under control.
Please suggest other mediation which will not burn and cure itching in groin. One of the dermatologist said its tinea curis.

Brief Answer:
Oral antifungals might be needed

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone carefully through your query and understand your concern. Tinea cruris is nothing but a technical terminology referring to a fungal infection of the legs (or groin for the matter). In case application of topical agents like Candid did not provide proper relief to you, you might need to be treated with oral antifungals like fluconazole to be taken once weekly for 4 weeks or so. Your dermatologist will be able to prescribe it for you.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
