Brief Answer:
left Flank deep Throbbing Pain / Under Evaluation

Detailed Answer:
Dear,

I am sorry, I did not receive any information / updates besides that is seen above my reply. If possible please update about the information that I requested.

In absence of positive information about the size / mobility / pain on pressure/ redness on the lump, I would try to suggest the possibilities which may cause this type of complaints in a person who is travelling and goofing off lately.

Following possibilities need to be worked up while investigation and treatment-

a- ?Diverticulitis with Left Flank Abscess, as your history otherwise does not explain either of illnesses of Colon or Kidney.

b-Possibility of Renal Abscess is very rare as you don't have any of the urinary complaints as well,as updated in your query information.

c-Possibility of any hidden traumatic hematoma with Abscess formation ? needs to be kept in mind,as you keep travelling and goofing off.

d-Or this could be mostly-a PID with nerve compression on the left side of the flank

e-Or this could be -a Muscle catch with nerve twisting, the accompanied vessels giving it a throbbing texture to your left flank Lump.

Prima facie your case of left flank lump could be muscle inflammation with traumatic hematoma /
- or PID(Prolapse Intervertebral Disc- with nerve compression with throbbing vessels around causing throbbing pain) with Muscle Injury Hematoma in the left flank.

Both the above possibilities are more - as you are travelling frequently and goofing around.
Its very difficult to predict exactly without all this information as asked above in my last reply.

Possibility of Colon Cancer with hidden PeriColitis and Abscess needs to be kept in mind as silent built of this lump. However this possibility of cancer and pericolits is remote.

I would suggest that you consult a doctor preferably a surgeon who will examine and order necessary investigation to narrow down possibilities. If you were my patient, I would order an ultrasound scan of left flank and CT Abdomen.

Hope these suggestions would help you to plan further treatment with your impending doctors visit.

Welcome for any further query in this regard.
