Suggest Treatment For Severe Left Sided Abdominal Pain

Question: Hi, I am having severe pain in my left abdomen since last 1.5 months. Earlier it was detected a stone in ureter of 5mm and a cyst in right ovary (7x4x6). Post consulting a gynaecologist, pain was assumed due to stone only because cyst was shown in right side. Later after 1 month, pain shifted to kidney (seems a pressure in kidney walls etc) also. In todays sonography, it is found that there is no stone in left ureter now, but there is a cyst in left ovary (7x4x6) (which was shown in right side in earlier report) and a small cyst in right ovary. Now it is assumed that pain is due to left ovary cyst, which is not mild enough. A small stone is also detected in appendix which is currently not showing any symptom.

Do we have any gynaecologist, who can help me finding what exactly creating pain and what is the severity of this left side cyst ? Would it be operated or only medication would work?

Please assist me.

Brief Answer:
Haemorrhagic cyst has to be operated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome to HCM,
I saw the reports.

Latest report doesn't show any stone in the ureter.
Haemorrhagic cyst is the cause of pain abdomen.

Haemorrhage cyst is a cystic lesion filled with blood. Some ovarian cysts will get twisted and become blood filled and cause severe pain. They have to be removed surgically. In some, these cysts rupture leading to collection of blood in the abdominal cavity causing severe pain.

I'd prefer to remove this type of ovarain cysts by Laparoscopic method.

I request you to consult a XXXXXXX Gynaecologist, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.

Wish you good health.

Thanks Doc!!

Is there any way to treat this cyst via medication?

Two cysts are detected (in left n right ovary), both need operation?

For appendix stone, is there any medicine to dissolve it or surgery would be required here also?

Brief Answer:
You can try medicine for simple cyst of ovary.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Haemorrhagic cyst has to be operated.Simple cyst of the ovary can be treated with medicine.
There is no medicine to dissolve the Stone in the appendix.Actually,it is not a stone. It is the faecal collection which gets solidified and mimics stone. Some of the faecal matter while going into large bowel ,gets deviated and enter the appendix creating this picture. It can also be removed Laparoscopically in the same sitting of ovarian cyst.
Hope I answered your query.
