Question : I have been having pain on my left side since early this morning. I have ibs have medication for that but this is something new. It is extremely uncomfortable. I called my doctor but she was out today. It is almost to the point of unbearable.

To recapitulate: Female/65 - known patient if IBS - have medication for IBS - having pain on left side of abdomen since morning - extremely uncomfortable - unbearable - Zantac and tums - vomited a few times as well ...

As per the history you have provided, almost unbearable pain needs attention of Doctors for clinical evaluation and investigations as needed:
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position.
Ultrasonography and further tests as may be needed.

Antispasmodic medicines: some of the medications for IBS are of this variety, but may need additional medicines too.
It would be prudent to consult a Doctor at ER for clinical examination and investigations and for symptomatic treatment.
