Brief Answer:
Arthritis progression can be slowed down but can't be stopped.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care Magic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

Arthritis is a disorder which we can slow down but can not eliminate, the treatment of arthritis depends upon type of arthritis the patient has. Rubbing a balm or a pain killer anti inflammatory cream can have little effects.

For rheumatoid arthritis we advise.
Disease modifying agents. These include methotrexate and a combination of pain killers and anti inflammatory drugs. Calcium vitamin D supplementation is given along with that.
These drugs relieve the pain and slow the progression of the disease.

I would suggest you to visit your rheumatologist and get a proper diagnosis of type of arthritis and severity of arthritis, only then arthritis specific medication can be suggested. At the moment you can start with occasional pain killer like Tylenol or Ibuprofen if needed and a calcium supplement containing vitamin D, other high end medications should be suggested by the doctor after a proper checkup.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.

Regards.
