Question : I have sever IBS for 25-30 years. I am having sever daily pain in lower abdominal just at top of my leg..the bulge is about 1"wide,1"high & go from my groin to lower hip.
Several week ago my OBGYN told me it was a hernia. I'm 64.
What do I need to do? The

Form your description it is a femoral hernia indeed. You should consult general surgeon with it. In case of doubts, ultrasound can be done.
The only way of treatment is surgery with mesh insertion. Leaving it alone can cause strangulation.
