Question : I'm not really sure why I'm having so much pain in my left knee area. I can barely walk or place my leg into a straight position. I have never experienced this before in life. The odd thing is that I haven't played any sports or anything that I could directly relate this to. My knee is swollen (inflammation) for no known reason. I tried last night soaking the leg in Epsom Salt. This allowed me to have more range of motion for an hour. Woke up this morning and had a hard time walking on the leg. Pleae help!! Btw...I was given a testerone shot in the left buttock on Friday. I don't know if this could have anything to do with the left leg pain/strain.

Brief Answer:
Needs evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that , knee swelling at this age can be due to rupture of bakers cyst or flare of osteoarthritis . This seems to be the most common reason . Testosterone shot seems unrelated . I think you should take some NSAIDS like Naproxen 500 mg twice daily to relieve the inflammation after consulting with your doctor . Also an USG of left knee should be done to see for the exact cause .
