Question : I was bitten by a dog tick and had it removed at an urgent care center 5 days ago. Starting yesterday my right hand is painful to move the middle fingers and my left temple on head is slightly swollen and painful. This morning my vision was slightly affected, but now is alright. I do not have a fever (97.4). Is this something that can be related to a tick bite? Should I just wait to see if it goes away?
Additional info: The tick was attached to my left inner leg, up near the groin.

                                    Brief Answer:
Dog tick bite transmitted infection ?viral
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Ixodid ticks (Haemaphysalis longicornis,Rhipicephalus microplus),a dog tick can transmit viral infection like “Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome virus”
(“SFTSV”) and Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever virus (CCHFV) by ixodid ticks (Hyalomma spp.),another dog tick. However your present does not seem to be any of these. Please visit your doctor and get a complete blood count (CBC).Hopefully you have taken booster dose of Tetanus toxoid.
