Question : I have sever pain and weakness in joints and muscles in arms and legs. started about 5 weeks ago. 76 years old, sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol all in good range (take metformin amlopline, glyberide, and losartan, no statins, not sure of all the spellings). just had 16 blood test done. Glucose (not fasting) was high at 169. Chloride was low at 93, of interest is ebv early antifen ab, igg was high at 34.4, ebv ab vca, lgG was very high at 390.0, and ebv nuclear antigen av, igg was high at 151, any advise? my dr. says just to monitor the situation, but I can't sleep.

i read your history and understand your concern, but I agree with your doctor that diagnosis is not clear. All your tests are not very suggestive of any particular disease.
But this same pattern can be happen to many other disease like vitamin D deficiency, inflammatory diseases etc. So I advice you to go for blood investigations like -vitamin D level, ESR and CRP. and till you get reports you can take paracetamol 650 mg as per requirement.
