Question : The site where my shunt is is causing severe pain. It feels like its swollen and its red and hot to touch. Along with a temp of 103, severe headache, really dizzy and alot of vomiting what would you suggest I do??

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Consult ASAP your Neurosurgeon, because it is probably shunt infection and malfunction that is causing your symptoms.

There is need to remove the shunt hardware, to be treated with antibiotics and external derivation of cerebrospinal fluid until there is certainly that infection is absent ( meningitis, ventriculitis ).
