Brief Answer:
calf muscle strain

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Do you see swelling and or redness of the calf muscles? If yes please see a doctor for ruling out clots or deep venous thrombosis.
If you do not see swelling it is unlikely to be serious. First get on to resting place, sit for sometime so that the calf muscles are rested. Most often this works simply. Stretching of the muscles helps simply and takes away the strain. If you have osteoarthritis of the knee joint it is most likely a calf muscle strain which requires ice or heat massage with rest. You can take ibuprofen unless there is problem that contradicts taking it.
Do not stand or walk, just sit and rest for an hour. Have a lemonade that replenishes the salts in the muscle cells. This simply does the trick.
Note: For further queries, consult a joint and bone specialist, an Orthopaedic surgeon. Book a Call now.
