Question : My wife used a preparation h suppository 3 days ago and has been experiencing quite a bit of pain in the middle of her lower back. She just realized it should been inserted just inside the anus and she went deeper Is it possible that the two could be related? She had been bleeding which she felt was the result of hemorrhoids. The bleeding did stop. Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Its not related.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

No, its rather not related. Its hard to stick suppository to deep. And even if, still it does not cause any serious complications.
Even if she has hemorrhoids, she should have colonoscopy done to make sure there is no other thing inside the large intestine.
Back pain can be caused by spine issues or kidney infection. Especially if she has also frequent urinating, urine analysis should be done.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
