Brief Answer:
Exclude other causes

Detailed Answer:
Good day.

Sorry to hear about your symptoms.

Fibromyalgia is a disease of exclusion. You have to exclude many diseases which can mimic like fibromyalgia. For example, Vitamin D deficiency, hyper parathyroidism, depression, poly myalgia rheumatica, connective tissue disorders also have similar symptoms. I hope your doctor excluded all these diseases before diagnosing fibromyalgia. None of the medicines which you mentioned worsen the pain. In fact, Duloxetine will improve the pain.

Hypothyroidism, if uncontrolled can cause similar pains. But once you are adequately replaced with Synthroid ( and if TSH is normal), the symptoms should disappear. Synthroid by itself does not worsen pain.

Most people with fibromyalgia also would require physiotherapy along with medicines to improve pain. Swimming in a heated pool, meditation, Gentle massage in a spa, yoga and meditation also are known to improve chronic painful conditions including Fibromyalgia.

I saw my Dr yesterday He changed some. Meds and I will go back in 2weeks to discus changes. All of the conditions you mentioned have been checked out and both eliminated. I am hoping the new meds will help.
