Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Hamstring Muscles

Question: I woke up this morning and it's extremely painful to walk. Pain is at the top back of my hamstring area just below my butt. I don't know what kind of Dr to go to. This has never happened before.
Brief Answer:
Can be a muscle spasm.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain that you have can be due to a muscle spasm. This should decrease with rest Advil hot compress and an oral muscle relaxant. You can consult an orthopedician in case the pain is persistent.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.
Regards.
