Question: Hello. I have severe pain in my right kidney area when I stand up from a sitting position or do any physical activity. It also is starting to hurt when I lay on it. Groin pain every once and awhile. I also was told I have blood in my urine. CT Scan scheduled. Could this be a stone issue?

Brief Answer:
Yes it sounds like your paying out stone.

Detailed Answer:
Good day and thank you for being with healthcare magic!!!

Yes it fits the classical symptoms of flank pain blood in the urine and pain in the Inguinal area which corresponds to a stone in the proximal ureter.

In my opinion you are suffering pain from stone passage. While waiting for the CT scan drink plenty of water around 2.5 l per day. Watch out of you develop fever and severe vomiting you may need to be admitted in a hospital.

I hope I have answered your question satisfactorily and please consider a 5 Star rating for my answer.
