Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Knees
Is this arthritis related to age or not?
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
1. The main questions would be to determine what the cause of this pain is. However, he would be able to answer this after examination and doing some test such as blood tests and X-ray of the knees.
2. Ask him if this needs surgery or the pain can be controlled with medications only?
3. Ask him what he thinks must have contributed to this pain/disease condition and what lifestyle measures can help.
In the interim, pain control with a combination of Tylenol and Ibuprofen would help. Take 1000mg of tylenol at most 3times daily and 600mg of Ibuprofen in between these doses. This will offer better pain control.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me if need be.
