Question : I have pain on the inside of left knee to the right on my kneecap. Sometimes it is so bad I cannot sleep, climb stairs, or hardly walk. My physician 2 months ago just said stay off it. But I think more is going wrong.Could I have a torn ligament?
Brief Answer:
Yes
Detailed Answer:
Hi and Welcome to HCM.
If there is no improvement after 2 months then it may indicate some more serious injury. If there is pain when you rotate your knee, then this may be sign of collateral ligament tear/ meniscus injury.
I doubt this is total rupture but partial may be and if possible, you should do MRI scan since in some cases it can be surgically repaired.
Wish you good health.
