Question : Pain in right hip. Noticeable when getting into car, or getting up from chair. Can be minimized with Alieve and slow stretching. Holding hip tightly also minimizes pain.
Brief Answer:
Possible coxarthrosis
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome to HCM.
This may be the beginning of hip arthrosis called coxarthrosis and you should get done X-rays to rule this out. In most cases it can be treated with analgesic and anti-inflammatory medications like Paracetamol, Iboprofen etc. and physical therapy but sometimes hip replacement is required depending on the severity.
Let me know if there's any further queries.
Wish you good health.
