Brief Answer:
You may need to change the antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hello

There can be a possibility that the organism causing the infection in you maybe resistant to azithromycin and you may need to change it. In such cases I would normally start my patients on levoflox 500mg once a day for five days.

It is also possible that you may be having acid reflux since your pain is more in the evening and night. I would recommend that you avoid spicy food and take tablet pantoprazole 40mg before food in the morning for 5 days.

If the burning sensation is severe then I recommend my patients to take syrup mucaine gel 2 teaspoon twice a day for 5 days. Please discuss this with your doctor.

Take care
