Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Throat

Question: After I sneezed, I developed a severe pain in my throat - It is extremely intense and hurts when I swallow now to the point I am holding my saliva .... Any ideas what could be wrong?
Brief Answer:
2 possibilities
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I Am Dr Mittal.
Having read the query, 2 possibilities come to my mind.
1st is a possible trauma to the mucosa of the throat.
The sneezing raises the pressure in the pharynx.
Sudden rise and fall may cause trauma.
Thereby causing pain on swallowing.
The second possibility is that you may have developed a severe throat congestion.
You will need an ENT evaluation to confirm the possibilities.
You will need a brief course of steroids and antibiotics along with it.
Best of luck.
