Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In Toes After Injury

Question: I was at the gas station and dropped the nozzle to the gas hose on four of my toes. I was wearing sandals. Excruciating pain. Now 7 hours later I can't move my toes.

Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand the whole situation.
Considering your symptoms,it is very essential to rule out fracture of toes,because if fracture is present,then it has to be dealt accordingly.
You start taking tablet ibuprofen 600 mg three times a day, apply ice pack locally and immediately go to ER to get the X ray done.

If my foot is fractured what can they do about it? I have to go to work tomorrow night. Also do you think that the biggest reason that I can't move my toes is because it may be fractured? Thanks, XXXXXXX

Hello,
Yes probability of fracture is quite high.
Treatment would depend upon site and nature of fracture and includes splinting,buddy taping,casting and surgery in some circumstances.
