Question : I am having terrible pain on left side under ribs. Been going on for over a week. G
Have sweating and chills. Lost 9 lbs in the past three weeks. Getting only 2 hours sleep at the most at night because of pain. There is bloating . went to family Dr three weeks ago and diagnosed with intestinal bacteria infection. Went back and he told me to see gastro Dr. In between Dr visits (4 in the past month) I also went to urgent care and emergency room. They done xray and scan to see if I had kidney stones. Negative. I have been trying to hold off until tomorrow to see gasro Dr but The pain is horrible. I don't want to go to emergency room and be told they can't find anything. Went to gas to Dr three months ago because of indigestion and he put me on pantroprazole 40 mg x 2 day. Said if I didn't get better which I haven't they will check me for gallbladder and her in a issues.

As you have had abdominal ultrasound, gallstones are already ruled out. Moreover this condition gives right abdominal pain.
Left abdominal pain is rather caused by stomach issues including peptic ulcer. The pain is dull and usually appears after foods intake.
Pain which radiates to back and shoulder can be also caused by pancreas issue like an inflammation. Loose stool can apoear as well.
I do not think ER visit is necessary as long as your heart rate is below 100 and blood pressure is fine. You may wait untill tomorrow. Just try to do not eat much till that time.
Blood work including pancreas tests and gastroscopy seem necessary.
