Question: My eyes are swollen and painful. I have what look looks to be a stye on both of them. There is also puss drainage during the the day and crusting at night. I've never had pink eye but is this it and do I need to see a doctor to treat it?

Brief Answer:
warm compress and topical antibiotics

Detailed Answer:
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

You would likely need to see your doctor and assessment.

A stye is inflammation of the eyelid margin involving the hair follicles of the eyelashes. It is associated with a staph bacteria.

Because it is a bacterial infection, topical antibiotics are usually needed, though some may improve without treatment rarely. The antibiotics would need to be prescribed by a doctor.

In addition to antibiotic treatment, you would need to apply warm compresses to the eye, 4 times a day for 15 minutes.

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
