Suggest Treatment For Severe Painful Swelling From Knees To Feet While On Temazepam

Question : I have a prescription for 7.5 mg of temazepam. It does not work well for me because I have pain from my knees to my feet, and my feet are swollen so badly from the rupture of Baker's cysts I cannot wear shoes or slippers. Just for once - for a good night's sleep - would it be safe in my case to double the dose to 15 mg. ? I am 79 years old, with atrial flutter following 2 open heart surgeries for a mitral valve replacement in January 2014. I am a little afraid of all the side effects and don't want to compound all my problems. I currently take 2.5 Warfarin daily for a future ablation. Thank you for the help.

I am so sorry to hear about this pain and the difficulties getting a good night sleep. It is safe to take 15mg for today. If you plan on changing this permanently, then talk to your doctor to make this and adjust the prescriptions. There are no serious added risk taking tamazepam at 15mg just once.
