Suggest Treatment For Severe Rectal Bleeding And Constipation
Question: Hi I had a colonoscopy done on wensday which was normal no problems, this afternoon I was tripped and fell now my back hurts and I have passed some bright red blood only when I tried to go to the bathroom about 3hours later should it be ok just to keep a eye on this and check with my doctor tomorrow if I don't have any more issues

I have read your query and understand your concern.
Although there are various reasons for fresh rectal bleeding like hemorrhoids,anal fissure,rectal polyp,colon cancer etc,but since you just had a normal colonoscopy just a few days back,most of these causes are ruled out.
Now coming to reason for the bleeding you had.
First of all it has nothing to do with the fall.
Your rectal bleeding seems to be due to a mild anal fissure which might have occured due to passage of hard constipated stool.
What to do....
Drink plenty of water.
Avoid constipation by taking fresh fruits and green vegetables.
You may take syr..LOOZE 30 ml daily in night for few days for smooth passage of stool.
Must do regular exercises like long brisk walks for regular bowel movements.
Just adopt these measures and you should be fine in few days once your constipation is alleviated and your stools are soft.
