Suggest Treatment For Severe Right Flank Pain
Question: Right flank pain only when lying down. Blood tests normal and ultrasound of abdomen,kidneys,bladder, gallbladder and liver normal. Had it for 9 months.

Right flank pain usually is due to Appendicitis or Right sided Ureteric stone or Right kidney stone .As Ultrasound abdomen has excluded these conditions, the pain could be due to Musculoskeletal cause.
I prescribe Skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside 4mg twice daily for 1 week initially to my patients with similar complaints. If there is no response, I will ask for CT scan abdomen.
