Question : I have been taking anastrozole for over a year now. I have been having neck and shoulder pain after arising from sleeping. It hurts to turn my neck like I slept wrong or something. It started on the right side. It's gone from there but now it's on the left. It's been going on for about a week. Can this problem be affected by taking this drug?
Brief Answer:
Pulled muscle
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
You seem to have pulled a muscle in the back of your neck.
This can occur if you use a thick pillow or of you sleep in uncomfortable posture.
Avoid using a thick pillow. Apply hot packs to the affected region. Use a soft cervical collar during the day. Take Tablet Diclofenac with Thicolchicoside combination twice a day for 5 days.
Anastrazole is not known to cause this side effect.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
