Question : I have severe social anxiety disorder and also have been diagnosed with major depression and o.c.d. I am currently taking propranolol and elavil.These medications do not seem to be working that well for me when I start to panic about anything and everything.Am wondering if a doctor can prescribe something to help with my panic disorder as every second is a battle for me.My name is XXXX and my email address is YYYY@YYYY ty and have a good day!YYYY pharmacy

I'm sorry your current therapy isn't working for you.

Depression and OCD, as you likely know given your many medication trials, is best treated with antidepressants, preferrably strongly serotonergic ones like Luvox or clomipramine. Could you give me a list of all medication you have tried at the maximum dose for 4 weeks or more? This would constitute all the failed medication trials you have experienced.

Sertraline, lexapro, venlafaxine, abilify all seemed to make my anxiety and depression worse.I am sorry I cant remember the dosages of these medications.thank you for your reply Dr.I do not have the technology to perform a video conference but I would be willing to try either of the two medications you mentioned in your reply.If you are able my pharmacy's phone# is0000 if you are willing to call the script in.They are two Meds I have not tried yet.my only allergy is to sulfonamides and am currently taking 10 Mg of elavil each night.thanks again for getting back to me and for your personal info.
