Hi, I haven't strained those areas lately, my shoulders & hip want to lock up during sleep & are quite painful to get moving in the morning. This condition seems to be gradually worsening over the last three weeks.
Also, I'm getting enough calcium & vitamin D.

Then please get check up done for inflammation
Detailed Answer:
hi
then I would advise you to get checked up for inflammation and arthritis by checking ESR,CRP, rheumatoid factor and anti CCP.
also take an anti inflammatory.in case you are getting remission of pain for a day with that ,it suggests pain may be due to inflammatory arthritis.
