Question : Hi i had ct which found a lesion not related to my original stomach pain. What does corticated mean i am having mri tomorrow does this appear to be cancerous?

Corticated means lesion has well defined cortex and it may indicate benign lesion.Lytic lesion may be due to many causes like simple bone cyst etc.
Generally malignant lesions causes breach of cortex.
You are rightly advised for MRI.MRI is helpful in better characterization of lesion.

Thankyou that does help. So the soft tissue mass that it also says, is that the lesion or seperate? Could the lytic lesion be scar tissue or is it in my bone?
