Question : I have been dealing with this since early August after a bout of severe stress and anxiety but I am having a squeeze feeling as well as a pain in my lower left side, the squeeze feeling comes from the lower left side between my ribs and left hip,the pain feeling comes under the belt line and feels like a gas pain,I did not know if there is something natural I can do to help this, also when I go to work with business clothes it feels like my belt is to tight on the left side as well but it feels better in shorts,I know I have IBS but not sure if this is something else, bowel movements are normal color and size but I will be constipated for a few days then I use the toilet 3-4 times in a day then I feel better

Dying,I am 6'1 and my weight is 225lbs.non smoker and I do not drink alcohol,I do not exercise hardly and have a desk job,eat fried foods liberally and coca cola 50% of the time, water the other 50%

Not dying, auto correct on my phone sorry

Brief Answer:
Course of medicines > investigation > diagnosis > treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Read and re-read the history carefully.

To recapitulate: known IBS - present problem started since Aug after stress and anxiety- squeeze feeling and pain left lower abdomen - like gas pain - comes on with belt - bowel movements, color and size normal - BUT '' altered bowel movements'' as seen by alternating constipation and frequency- 35 years, male...

I would advise you the following (with consultation and you need a prescription of a Doctor):
Clinical / Physical examination by a Doctor of the abdomen to find out if there is a lump or so.
A course of an antibiotic and metronidazole, probiotic, activated charcoal tablets for 5 days to see if you get a complete recovery.
If no complete recovery:
Routine blood, urine ans stool tests,
Colonoscopy and biopsy;
CT scan of the whole abdomen.

I hope you understand, it is very important to rule out any organic problem at the earliest. This helps to get a proper diagnosis, early detection of any problem, proper treatment with a goal of getting cured.

If all the investigations are normal, you can then definitely be treated as a patient of IBS.

I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis and plan for a treatment.
