                                            Question : I guess it seems the same. Since it seems to go with my anxiety levels, I do not know if it has gotten worse.   I know that I work myself up into panic mode. I even did when I read your question because it makes me think that there is some problem.  
The breathing issue that happens on inhale and exertion is the same as it was when I first noticed it during a very high anxious moment. The only difference is I notice it more often now and I figure that is because I fret on it more.
So i guess it has worsened the more I worry on it. My PFTs show little difference so I do not know what could cause breathing to be an issue other than stress.
What do you think J

                                    I was trying to say that no matter how many times you tell me I'm fine, that reassurance lasts just a short time before I start thinking negatively again. 
Right now I am just getting up. I went to bed early to rest and think positive, but I did not sleep peacefully and have been having bad thoughts causing trouble breathing.
Today I am trying to take a deep breath and am getting small breaths using upper chest breathing and using belly breathing. We have said airway inflammation affects air in and air out. But what does stress mediators do to breathing outside of hyperventilating. Does it make certain airway functions harder to breath
Right now I am bothered by the feeling like I am limited to only half a breath like a person with emphysema and air trapping. Just to see if it helps I try purse lip breathing but get little help.
Is all this totally excess stress and anxiety. Tell me yes and I should feel better. I know I am not looking forward to be at work today. Because of work to do. I want to just stay in bed but even that bothers me because I can't get comfortable to stay asleep with out focusing on short breaths

In response to your definition of the symptoms list that I do not have, I will proceed to stop asking the usual questions but questions that help me understand what is causation to my issue and what to do to in short term to help. Long term we both know is stress reduction, relaxation, dating ex wife, seeing daughter that is Pulm therapist, and my granddaughter along with my musician friends.
So I will ask todays question for verification and your agreement. this is from an anxiety book. Since Asthma is Airway inflammation it is included in the discussion of Anxiety and Inflammatin
Inflammation is caused by a narrowing and swelling of airway, CAN also produce mucus to make it more difficult ( i do not have mucus) Not sure why, maybe you know.
It is triggered by overly sensitive/reative immune system. Becasue stress negatively impacts the immune system stress can play a roll and prevalence of inflammation
To Reduce,
Stress reduction
Regular deep relaxing
Rest
Getting good sleep uh oh for me
regular light exercise You have mentioned this
