Question : I have sever throat infection. I plan to visit the doctor tonight, however, in the meantime, are there any home remedies I can try.

Hi and thanks for your query.

I would suggest the following remedies that you can try before visiting doctor.

- Tab Cetirizine. It can be taken upto 2 times a day. It will reduce the secretions and help with the infection.
- Tab paracetamol 500 mg for fever. It can be taken upto 4 times a day.
- Dabur honitus syrup 1-2 tbsp 2-3 times a day.
- Steam inhalation
- Gargles with salt water that is just warm.
