Question : I'm hypertensive since 20 years and is using triolmezest 20mg, starpress xl 50mg and ecospirin av75. For past two years, I'm on istamet 50/500.
I had undergone routine tests and blood sugar hab1ac is less than 6.5, cholesterol levels are within limits.
I had severe tooth infection when ecg was taken. Attached the copy of ecg which was taken 6months back. Recently also the same results. I just wanted to know whether it's normal and I have no complaints of chest pain etc.

                                    Brief Answer:
Your recent ECG is not attached
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Your recent ECG is not attached. Please try to reattach it. Also, let me know if you have undergone any Echocardiography, stress test. Because I have gone through your previous ECGs, which were not completely normal, were having some changes like left axis deviation, poor R wave progression.
However, these changes may be due to hypertension as well but ischemia should be ruled out with echo and stress test even if echo is normal.
Regards

                                    Brief Answer:
Need both medicines, diet
Detailed Answer:
Your medicines need to be continued in regular manner. Your medicines are fine.
You should have a healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Have low salt diet and monitor blood pressure regularly thrice a day for one week then once or twice a week. And bp should not be persistently more than 140/90 mmhg. Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according your capacity atleast 30 min a day and 5 days a week. Lots of green leafy vegetables, fruits, fish once or twice a week, avoid meat. Avoid smoking and alcohol if any. There shouldn't abdominal fat deposition or obesity.
You should also undergo echo if not done recently. And if echo is normal then should undergo stress test like stress thallium or treadmill test to rule out blockages. All the best.
