Question: I have toothache and visited doctor. Doctor advised me to remove two tooth which require small surgery. However, because of busy schedule and other priorities, i cant go for surgery for another 10 days. I am scheduling it on 13th May. In the meantime, can you prescribe me some painkiller which can give me temporary relief when i am having toothache.

Brief Answer:
You can take NSAID's and a short script of antibiotics too.

Detailed Answer:
Hi..
Thanks for the query..

If you have a toothache then it is most probably due to infection in tooth.
So, for this you can take NSAID's like Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Ketorolac etc.
To reduce infection you can also take a short course of antibiotics like Amoxicillin after consulting your Dentist..
It will help in reducing both infection and pain..
You can also apply clove oil over your tooth.
